Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of SmartVibes Toolbox (“the App”), published by Smartvibes, New South Wales, Australia. By using the App you agree to them.

1. The App is free

The App is provided free of charge, with no advertising and no in-app purchases. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time.

2. Measurements are indicative only

Important: every measuring tool in the App relies on your phone’s consumer-grade, uncalibrated sensors. Readings are estimates for everyday convenience — they are not certified, calibrated, or fit for professional, safety-critical, legal, or medical purposes.
  • The spirit level, angle finder, and ruler are not substitutes for certified trade instruments. Do not rely on them for structural, building, or compliance work.
  • The sound level meter is uncalibrated and must not be used for workplace-safety or regulatory noise assessment.
  • The GPS speedometer is not a legal reference for your vehicle’s speed — always rely on your vehicle’s speedometer and observe road rules.
  • The compass and altimeter are affected by magnetic interference and weather; do not rely on them as your sole navigation aids.
  • The metal detector indicates magnetic-field changes only; never use it to check for live electrical wiring before drilling.
  • The internet speed test transfers data proportional to your connection speed (up to ~250 MB per run on very fast links) — run it on Wi-Fi if your mobile plan has a data cap.

3. Acceptable use

Use the App lawfully and considerately.

4. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and branding remain the property of Smartvibes. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on your devices.

5. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and we exclude liability for loss arising from reliance on its readings or from interruptions to the App or third-party services it contacts. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law; where liability cannot be excluded it is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the App or the cost of re-supply.

6. Privacy

The App collects no personal information. See the Privacy Policy.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes are subject to the courts of New South Wales.
